Candy cigarettes contain more warning labels
It is currently reported that candy cigarettes will have more warning labels relating to the danger of their consumption. According to a new development, the warnings will be enlarged in size and will cover 50% or more of cartons and packs.
The times when on candy-tasted cigarettes will be displayed warning labels as:
”Sugar Can Promote Tooth Decay”, “Candy Cigarettes Can Spoil Your Dinner” and “Consumption May Interfere With Your Body’s Ability To Absorb Calcium And Magnesium” are not far off.
The parents who believe that this king of smoking products is a genuine provocateur for children are anxious most of all. Eating sweets while they are child can lead to a tobacco addiction later.
Although, things are not as bad as it is believed. As it was counted, less than 5% of the children who ate candy cigarettes went on to become adults who eat candy cigarettes.
Opinions related to this problem differ. “The whole thing sucks more than a hooker with an all-day sucker” says Lenny Choo, owner of Choo’s Corner Store and Flower Market in Skyway, Washington. “Once they’ve labeled all the candy cigarettes, they’ll want to go after the licorice pipes. Then it’ll be the chocolate bongs. Before you know it, all the ginseng wine will have to be in plain brown bags behind the store counter. They need to butt out of my business.”
There are states that introduced a total ban on candy cigarettes.
Public doesn’t accept them everywhere. “We won the battle in 1967 over the ban of candy cigarettes in North Dakota, and we’ll win this time too”, Albert Nessen says, a chairman of the American Candy Cigarette Coalition. “Back then, they thought candy cigarettes would lead children to smoking tobacco cigarettes. But what kid would want to smoke when they could eat candy?”
In such states as Bahrain and Saudi Arabia sweet tobacco is banned along with alcohol, tobacco, chocolate, kissing in public, and deathmatch monster-truck racing.
