European smokers need Fire-Safe Cigarettes
Carelessness while smoking had a dismal end. Damages caused by this mishap aftermath loss of thousands of dollars. But, it is more serious when it caused human deaths.
This major problem persuaded to look for a more secured way of smoking. Exploration resulted manufacturing of fire-self cigarettes what are self-extinguish if not puffed for a long time.
Generally speaking, it seems to be a very successful alternative. It was already introduced in some states and it pleased cig smokers.
There isn’t much difference in taste among ordinary tobacco product and this kind of cigarettes. Difference is that fire-self cigarettes need a more frequently puffing, otherwise it is extinguish by itself.
Idea of fire safe cigarettes was sustained by EU representative, Meglena Kuneva, the EU Consumer Protection Commissioner. She has called for cigarettes to be made fire-safe.
According to statistics of 14 countries, fire resulted from cigarettes cause tens of millions of euros in damage and kills 2,000 people annually.
If it would be produced new cigarettes, then it would add 0.01-0.02 euro cents to the cost of a packet of cigarettes. It isn’t so much, as life worth much more.
Tobacco producers are ready to sustain this project. Spokesperson for Philip Morris said that they support the plan but mentioned that “it must be made clear that this measure alone with (sic) not totally prevent fires from burning cigarettes, smokers must also be more responsible when smoking.”
