Interesting statistic: ban increases drunken-driving fatalities
A recent study proved that smoking ban increases fatalities caused by drunken persons while driving.
This statistical examination surprised the authors, because it was expected that the prohibition of tobacco smoking in public places will make people to stay more at home. But, the result is dramatically unlike.
It was estimated that smoking bans increase fatal drunken-driving accidents by 13% that is about 2.5 such accidents per year for a typical county.
Moreover, not long ago government rises the age for smoking and drinking from 18 to 21 in order to prevent drunken-driving that often causes innocent victims.
Maybe the government’s decisions were adopted to make our lives much safer and easier, but in the end everything is not as rose-colored as it ought to be.
The statistics proved that ban on lightening up and raise of ages brings another dramatic result. So, government should consider these statistical examinations and try to reconsider these decisions.
Though, it wouldn’t be a big surprise if administration instead of reconsidering of the law, will make it wider. So, dear customers, be ready as the time for BIG changes ought to come!
