Restricted pleasure
Smoking ban is state policy that in general prohibits smoking in public places. It was promoted in order to make our and future generation healthier.
Another part of problem is that cigarette veto affected, in a way, economical part of states.
In special, it’s about the financial aspects of restaurants, bars, taverns, so on and so forth. There were registered cases what a number of such locals closed as result of smoking fag ban. Simply, the total profits went down that, logically, resulted close up of bars or taverns. Incomes become lower because the clients weren’t allowed to smoke in bars.
Confused situation were registered in Wales. As it was affirmed they are not prepared for this. Smoking ban come into its legal force since last week. Prohibition consisted in money penalties for lightening up of cigarettes or another tobacco product, or absence of sign that will declare that smoking is vetoed. Philip Lay, retail director for Welsh-based brewers SA Brain and Company, said: "I don’t think anybody can argue that not having smoke around you is a good thing.
Philip Lay, retail director for Welsh-based brewers SA Brain and Company, said: "I don’t think anybody can argue that not having smoke around you is a good thing…It’s a benefit, but again, a bigger benefit is employment and being able pay your bills at the end of the week. There are a lot of people, particularly the small independent traders, where this is going to put a really serious economic pressure on them and they’re very worried because there are going to be pub closures as a result of this”.
Arguments that presented Philip Lay are as strong affirmation for pro and anti usage of cigarettes.
The owner of Bush Hotel in Blaenclydach, Rhondda, John Price, supposed that government must to ask people’s opinion. There is resolution through designing of special rooms for cigarettes smoking and in lounges will dominate “smoking-free atmosphere”. Anyway, this proposal wasn’t discussed and it’s difficult to presuppose what financial effects to expect for future. Also, he sustained: "I’ve got 83% smoking in this pub, they like to come in and have a cigarette and a pint which has been going on for generations. I think that everybody thinks it’s been pushed forward too quickly. They are not giving us time, there will be hundreds of pubs not ready in the Rhondda alone."
A more softer restrictions aren’t forecasting and the last innovation that were recently registered were fixed penalty notices include ?50 for smoking in a smoke-free public place and ?200 if a premises fails to display no-smoking signage.
