What say smokers about smoking ban?
In one of the largest tourist resorts Bournemouth smokers demonstrate deep complaint of smoking ban. As they say, the bas had resulted in chaos that occurs every day and everywhere. As the result of the ban many pubs and clubs have failed in business and this leads to job losses for many workers.
Kevin Franklin, the person who works in the local entertainment industry for 26 years, thought of new smoking law as an “absolute madness”.
He said: “As a country which always is so slow to react to certain changes but this is a law gone too far.”
Describing himself as "a social smoker", Mr. Franklin told the Daily Echo: "I find it quite irritating to be sent outside to enjoy a social cigarette with a pint and then the non-smokers come out because that’s where the majority of people are.
“This law has changed the whole atmosphere and unique ambience of the club and pub environment and will shut down a lot of establishments which, in turn, will mean job losses”. It is hard not to agree with Kevin. Clubs, pub lost in their magnificence after ban introducing. For many, namely smoking has been primary cause why they go there to relax and rest from outside problems.
Franklin added: “Designated smoking areas should have been the answer but, of course, that isn’t politically correct. Perhaps we should be like the French and completely ignore the law.”
It can be presupposed that government wouldn’t like the ignorance of law for sure.
Such repugnant situations will encourage smokers for revolt. Nobody likes to be discriminated and be in minority. Last affirmation of Kevin concerned this point: “Having spoken to many of my friends within the industry feelings are running high and action is being considered. I would certainly be part of it.”
Thus believe thousand of people whose opinion also ought to be counted.
